Hello,I am trying to fix a problem with OE6 .. The program worked fine yesterday and it has about 6 different e-mail accounts set up on it. All the e-mail accounts work fine .. they can all send mail and can receive except for 2 accounts, when we try to get new mail from the mail server the following error is returned:* An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'mail.comcast.net'. Server: 'mail.comcast.net'. Protocol: POP3. Port: 110. Secure(SSL): No. Error Number 0x800C013E* An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'Email removed for privacy'. Server: 'mail.ourwebsite.com. Protocol: POP3. Port: 110. Secure(SSL): No. Error Number 0x800C013EI have already tried to restoring some DBX files and deleted the old inbox file to no avail. I tried turning off Norton's anti-virus protection e-mail scanning as well and had no luck. I tried compacting the inbox and clearing old temporary offline data too and still no luck. Can anyone help me please? This is so frustrating. Once again we cannot receive any e-mail's on two accounts set up trough OE6 because of error code 0x800c013e

Try this1- Disable Norton AntiVirus completely and try again2- Disable Add-ins inOutlook (what is not needed or all COMs) then try again3- Run outlook in safe mode ( While Pressing CTRL key press the outlook shortcut (and try again)Retry and let me know if it helpsRegards

I'm having the same problem....did the solution work? You have Comcast and the exact same error message? Not very likely. Please post any error message in its entirety. You can left click on it to highlight and then right click to copy and then paste it into this thread.Bruce Hagen ~ MS-MVP [Mail]Imperial Beach, CA
