I've had this Windows 7 installation going for a few months now, but ever since about a week ago, none of my updates have been installing. It restarts the computer, tries to configure the updates, fails, rolls back and restarts to the pre-update. I've tried installing just one update at a time, no go. SP1 won't install either. Event Viewer brings up a lot of errors, most of which look like this: Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80070002: Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2506014). I've tried both this tool (in both default and aggressive modes) as well as did the fix manually, and neither work. Any ideas? I have nearly 10 security updates backed up, so I'm getting a little nervous. Thanks in advance, Rei
