0x00000005 Access Denied on client when install printers and a lots of security audit failure on server

We have a Windows Server 2008 R2 Print cluster. There are about 2500 users, 2000 of which are not in the AD domain (students...)

The following problem happens sometimes on Windows 8 client (computer not in the domain): they access to the print cluster via UNC path \\servername, they enter domain\username, the logon works, they see all the printers. Then when they double clic on a printer to install it, this warning message appear :

"Unable to complete this operation (error 0x0000005). Access denied"

If they reboot the computer and try again, it works

In the mean time, I can see very much security audit failure in the event log (events 4625 and 4776) on the print server. We are auditing the failure logon event on every server, this is the only one with this case. I mean, there is about 100'000 Audit Failure events logged in one hour...

I saw some different solution about printing errors 0x00000005, sometimes connected with problematic print driver or with admin rights on the computer... But here, this problem seems to happen randomly on different computer.

So, anybody have an idea where could it come from? Is this normal to have so much logon try on a print server ?

Thanks !!
