Hi, I have not the permission to access the log file on your SkyDrive. I suggest you remove .NET Framework 4.0 components. Manually download the standalone installer for .NET Framework 4.0 from the website and install it in Clean Boot mode to check the result. You can refer the answer by pvdg42 in the following post: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/eu/netfxsetup/thread/e2463565-f635-4fae-a8a6-13ab9a51e33fTracy Cai TechNet Community Support

I can't get any updates for .net framework 4.0 to install. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling .net framework 4.0 but I still get failed error messages. Error code: 0x80070643. I've tried everything in this article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976982

You should use .NET Framework removal from Aaron Stebner's blog and reinstall .NET Framework. This is known issue. Rgds Milos
