Hello, I cannot set .mov video files to a default program such as VLC or Media Player Classic.  All methods I've tried have not worked, including right click properties change default, windows search set default programs, and setting .mov as the default inside the players themselves.  Normally I just right click on the file, properties, opens with, pick an app and change but this does nothing with .mov video files after I hit apply.  Any help would be appreciated.

I think this issue because you installed many video player which can change default registry

anyway, you can set the default extension setting at your video player
