when trying to access our server with Windows 7 I get this message, a remote procedure call (RPC) protocol error occurred. I have permissions and it has worked in the past with XP pro and Vista but can't get it to work with Win 7. Useing windows firewall. Help please. Brad

Hi, How do you access the Server from Windows 7 machine, via Remote Desktop? Or the error message just occur when accessing a shared folder on Server machine from Windows 7? At this stage, I suggest you temporarily disable Windows Firewall on each machine and access the server again. Thank you for responding to my question. To answer your question, basically access the server through "My Network Places" I couldn't get RD to work either meaning Remote Desktop. The server hasn't changed ever we always are able to access the folder in question so it was Win 7's falt. I will have to try what you suggested but I have reverted back to XP Pro last week cause I could not get the answer that I needed and had to get work done, so maybe sometime I'll try again, I just don't understand why you would change how that aspect works in an OS to OS I would think that should never change.
