'no wireless network' and missing tab in network connections
i use windows xp with sp3 on an old but trustworthy desktopinstalled a belkin wireless usb adapter last night but windows says 'no wireless networks' but thats not true because hubbies wi-fi laptop works. have had several conversations with advisors but cannot solve the problem. have re-istalled software from disc and direct from website. have also tried 'windows zero configuration' settings following advice from the help line. when i open the wireless network properties dialogue box there are only 2 tabs present - general and advanced so i seem to be missing an all important third tab to do withwireless networks. the device manager tells me that the adapter is working properly and the isp provider has re-set the modem and checked that. i am now at a loss as to what to do1 person needs an answerI do too
