I'm having the same problem. Laptop is only 1 month old, and when I try to copy tables from Excel to Word I only get the paste as text option. I tried to paste my Excel table into a new Outlook e-mail message, and I had the same problem. I found the following thread that suggested that the copy and paste mode works when the internet browser (IE, Firefox etc.) is closed. I closed IE, and I was able to sucessfully copy and paste a table for Excel to Word with the correct formating. http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/Offtopic/thread/d2e0c02a-3207-4b5e-a690-81c631422f6a Overall though keeping the browser closed in order to copy and paste correctly is not a good option. Thus, any help other than it's not a Windows 7 problem would be greatly appreciated.
