'Ntdevice.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close' Everytime Windows is finishing loading. Malware? Suggestions?
This started on September 7th – after XP loads before launching anything or starting any applications ‘NTDEVICE.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close’ window pops up. After choosing to not send the error report tons of other process/applications began to throw up the same ‘….has encountered a problem and needs to close’ windows. To the point of basically locking up Windows entirely I've ran a full Avira scan, which identified and quarantined other .exes but not ntdevice.exe, ran a full scan with SUPERAntiSpyware both in normal Windows and in Safe Mode, which again, both times identified and quarantined/removed other .exes but not ntdevice.exe., edited the winlogon userinit registry key because it had been modified by what I assume was malware, ran the kaspersky TDSSkiller, which again identified things and cured but the issue still persists. I've kind of come to terms with the fact that this may be Malware of some type but seriously WTF??? I’m at a loss and I really would like to get to the bottom of this. Here's to hoping someone can provide a solution.6 people need an answerI do too
