'1 Inch Pinky Lines' on the bottom of my screen
hi..please help me.. my acer aspire 4730ZG laptop (bought about a year ago) has about 1 inch of pinky lines on the bottom side. so, it closes the area where the toolbar should be. for the time being, i have move the toolbar to the upper side. currently it does not cause any other problem to the laptop. but it is still irritating me. please help me. i don't know how to solve this problem. anyway, thank you for your kindly help.

Assuming you mean "pink" lines, I'd have to say it sounds like you're experiencing a hardware problem with the display itself. Do these lines seem to be generated by the software (e.g., do they change? Does anything ever get in front of them?) or are they more permanent? Like I said, it sounds like a hardware problem. You should check ASAP whether it is still be covered under warranty. -Noel

I concur ... its the physical display hardware ... sometimes it can be as simple as something not making a good contact, perhaps due to some dust getting into the connectors (usually in the hinges) ... or it could be something as serious as requiring replacement of the screen (you'd better hope its still under warranty if so!).
