x86 version of Lonhorn server supports hibernation
I have installed x86 version of LH server that has 12 GB of RAM. just afer i complete installation , I find that the server has detected 12GB ( I have not enabled PAE) . It is also found that I have the hibernation option available when I click on shutfown. The OS also reserves 12 GB of HDD space for the hibernation file. Has any one seen this behaviour ?

Hibernate should only be enabled by default if your system hasup to4GB of RAM. This is true for both Windows Vista and Windows Server "Longhorn". If you're seeing otherwise, its likely a bug that we are tracking. I have already forwarded your post to the development team.

Hi All, In both of my 32 and 64bit LH v.6001, there are still hibernate option with over 4GB RAM. Is it true?? How should I do if I want to disable it just like Windows 2003. Thx. Tom
