windows xp startup problem
I have two hard disks both with XP in it, 160GB (sata) and 80 GB (IDE), the 160GB disk XP has a windows security upgrade, the other doesnt. the 80 GB hard drive is usedas a back up hard drive for my computer. I have a program that giving me a problem, and i was troubleshooting it. I tried to backup my files in the 160GB disk into the 80GB disk, So I made the 80GB disk a slave and turned the power on. at first windows started fine, but when my programs stoped working, i've noticed the %systemroot% drive is drive E: instead of drive C: this is where my problem started, when I removed the 80GB disk, the XP in the 160GB did not start, and it stops at the "starting windows XP screen". can anybody tell me what happened to my XP. And a solution is greatly appreciated
