Hi, The above error message does not mention your system is illegal. It only says 8 updates cannot be installed. I suggest trying the following steps to troubleshoot this issue. Clean boot ================= Let’s disable all startup items and third party services when booting. This method will help us determine if this issue is caused by a loading program or service. Please perform the following steps: 1. Click the Start Button type "msconfig" (without quotation marks) in the Start Search box, and then press Enter. Note: If prompted, please click Continue on the User Account Control (UAC) window. 2. Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click "Disable All" (if it is not gray). 3. Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK". Then, restart the computer. When the "System Configuration Utility" window appears, please check the "Don't show this message or launch the System Configuration Utility when Windows starts" box and click OK. Please test this issue in the Clean Boot mode. If the issue persists, please send me the following information further for research. To get the detailed error message and for further research, please follow these steps to capture a screen shot: Screenshot: ======== 1. When the error message appears, press Print Screen (Pr Scrn) (next to the F12 button) to capture a screen shot. 2. From Start, type "MSPAINT" (without the quotation marks) and press Enter. 3. Use Ctrl + V to paste the screen shot to the canvas. 4. From the File menu, go to Save and save as a JPG file. Windows Update.log ============= 1. Click Start, type: %windir% and press Enter. 2. Locate a file named "WindowsUpdate.log". Cbs.log ===== 1. Click Start, type: %windir%\Logs\CBS and press Enter. 2. Locate a file named "CBS.log". System Information ============= 1. Click Start, type in "MSINFO32" and press Enter to start System Information. 2. On the popup window, on the menu bar, click File, and click Save to save it as an NFO file, such as system.nfo.
