Thanks for your reply!!
I tried the solution mentioned in the suggested URL that is - "Changing product key" but I am not able to do that as my machine runs only in Safe Mode in which I am not allowed to change the product key. While running in "Normal Mode", I am getting blue
screen with message - "windows server 2008 R2 Standard Build 7600 this copy of windows is not genuine" at lower right corner and nothing
else. I am not able to do anything in this mode.
Please help me out.

It should be a black screen giving you a genuine error. Try pressing the "window/super" key and Pause/Break, see if you get the computer properties window to update the key.Steve Kline

This means you haven’t activated the server.
You were running this server in “grace period”.
Change the product key and activate the server.

I tried everything but with no success and it is a blue screen. I downloaded this OS setup from MSDN subscriber download page and got it activated after the installation.

The Message is gone now!!
After posting above message, i went out for a min. and when I came back my PC had restarted and when I logged-in, my desktop came up smoothly without any error/warning message. I don't know how or what happened but it is back in normal state now.
Thanks everybody for your quick replies!!

Hi, I am trying to install software on the Win Server 2008 R2 server that displays message 'This copy of Windows is not genuine' and I cannot. At the end sytem displays message 'Feature transfer error; Error-catastrophic failure'. Question: is the failure
in installing the result of 'windows is not genuine' message?
