What is the DNS configuration on the Server which you are trying to make as RODC.
Please provide Ipconfig /all info when configured with static IP addressing and when configured with DHCP

Hi Tarek,
Thanks for posting here.
So have you checked the connectivity between this RODC host and your primary DNS server or main site subnet? And will it returns the correct IP address of remote hosts
when perform “nslookup <FQDN of domain controller>” with current settings?
You should also set DHCP reservation for this RODC host first in order to prevent IP conflict which will also potentially cause connectivity issue .
Thanks.

Hello,
i have active directory domain with multiple sites im migrating to windows server 2008 R2 i try to install RODC in
one of the sites
this is upgrade and not migration.
For upgrade to AD DS 2008 R2, refer to this Guide: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc731188(WS.10).aspx
when i use static IP i can't see the main site or ping it , it's working fine with DHCP
Are you pinging using IPs or DNS names?
If using IPs then check connectivity and routes. If it is via DNS names then make sure that you are pointing to the correct internal DNS server as primary DNS server. Once done, run
ipconfig /registerdns and restart netlogon on your server. That should update your DNS records.

Hi,
You can use the detection of a conflict of
Addres ip and to do this
access to the DHCP console properties IP
v4 then the advanced
option and increase the number of " conflict detection attempts"
