windows server 2003 takes long tin restarting after recovery console
hi,
sorry if this question does not belong here.
i've just run a recovery console on my server 2003. after the recovery finished my system restarted. then when it get to the windows server 2003 logo it keeps there. it looks like its taking to much time to start. the gray bar below moves very slow. is the
machine busy with something that takes long or my machine is not restarting?
can someone help me with this?

I think that the recovery was not well performed. Try to recover it another time and check if the problem is persisting.

what command do i have to use to scan the whole drive for error?

Hi,
From the recovery console, you usually do a
chkdsk /r
to scan the drives and the file systems for potential problems.
I'm not 100% sure if you can use this in the recovery console (chkdsk /r
has always worked for me), but you can try running
sfc /scannow
to verify the protected OS files. If this cannot run from the recovery
console, then you might try running it if the system boots. See
