windows home server
I cannot connect to my home server for diaster recovery. When I am in windows environment, I am connected. It backs up and I can log onto its console. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I copied every .sys, .dll., cant remember the other suffix. to a thumb drive from my motherboard installation cd. Upon a restore, it claims to find drivers ok, then it cannot find the server. Hardware on my pc: Gigabyte 790FXA-UD5 AMD 1090T X6 BFG GTX295 LG DVD, LG Blu ray 3 WD HDs, 300Gig Velociraptor, 1 Terrabyte Black series, 500 Gig RE3 Home server has: Foxconn A7GM-S 2.0 AMD Callisto 3.2Ghz Black edition LG dvd Inside the windows environment it works like a champ, with my wifes and my pc. I have tried unplugging the plug from the main internet leaving my LAN intact as was suggested concerning Home server naming conventions. That did not work either. I understand I need 32 bit drivers. 1. how to extract from a executable driver file from gigabyte website. 2. What file exactly do I need? Please help. I am almost bald from tearing my own hair out......... Thank you.
