windows 200 RIP Loopback not annouced
Hi guys,
We configured rip on windows server2008. And we would like a loopback adapter IP in /32 to be announced. The server is learning its ldefault gateway from the router.
But for some reason the loopback route existes, but the rip only announces its ethernet host and subnet.
Do you see any reason for this ?

PS :
I can't add my loopback interface to the Rip configuration
I can't see my loopback in the network interface list in the server manager !

I found the solution.
The fact is that the router part of the windows is ignoring any loopback interface created after the router service configuration. This can probably be considered as a bug.
The way to make it work is to create the loopbacks before configuring the routing and remote access service.
Hope it will help some of you trying to create redundant network configuration.
Regards.
