I have a 2008 64bit r2 and a 2003 32bit SP2 domain server. They are in diffent forest but on the same subnet. I've configured DNS forwarders on both servers. Pings work correctly. Once I set up a forest wide transitive trust everything works perfect for a hour then the trust just breaks. If I restart the 2008 server the trust breaks. I have not had a problem browsing the 2008 server from the 2003 just the opposite. I also don't receive any errors in event viewer. The only error I receive is the system detected a possible attempt to compromise security on the 2008 server. What am I missing.
