windows 2003 - static routing issue
Hi There, we have a problem with routing on server 2003; in the past it was setup by somebody and we are getting injected static routes during the boot. It is not anywhere in registry nor in startup.
Any clue where to look for ? I cannot get rid of them !! SOS
I tried to remove it but it keeps reappering after 1 min ! And there is nothing configured under RRAS, is installed but disabled
Cheers

yes you can see the static routes from the command prompt by "Route Print" Command.
to add the static routes you will have to use route add -p command

They should be eliminated from the route table which is embedded as database file and not embedded into registry.
Please follow syed suggestion and once deleted you can verify it using
TCP dump / wireshark / route print.
perform arp -d to remove the arp entries.

I thought that I was clear enought, but seems nobody understood the issue (((
Am not asking about simple add/remove things. What am saying is that static routes getting injected in my routing table automatically !
I can remove it via route delete but it appears again in 1 min...! Any clue for this ?
Funny, it looks like any dynamic routing running on server or.. ? Where from are those coming .. ?
Thanks

Sorry, this was checked as well (the registry), forgot to mention.....
Those routes that reappear are not persistent, they are dynamic...

Hi Argus123,
Thank you for your post.
Please uninstall RRAS from your server first and post command "ipconfig/all" and "route print" result to us.
There is not sufficient information to clarify your issue. Is there any event log about these dynamic routing?
If there are more inquiries on this issue, please feel free to let us know.Regards,
Rick Tan
