Hi anghare, For licensing questions, I suggest contacting Microsoft Licensing Center for detailed explanation. http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/contact-us.aspx For licensing questions, please call 1-800-426-9400 (select option 4), Monday through Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. (PST) to speak directly to a Microsoft licensing specialist. Worldwide customers can use the Guide to Worldwide Microsoft Licensing Sites http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/index/worldwide.asp to find contact information in their locations. For Activation question: Please call the Microsoft Activation Center. The engineer in the center will help you to activate the Windows Server 2008. Hi, It depends. If you don’t have additional requirements, you can purchase Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition. E.g. Failover Cluster feature is not available in Windows Server 2008 Standard edition, so if you want to set up a cluster, you have to purchase Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition or Windows Server 2008 Datacenter Edition. For more information, you can refer to: Differentiated Feature Comparison by Edition http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/r2-differentiated-features.aspx Edition Comparison by Technical Specification http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/r2-compare-specs.aspx Best Regards, Vincent Hu
