Did you enter/change the product key after the installation? Why can’t you active it through the phone? Contact Microsoft licensing. They should be able to help you. http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/existing-customers/activation-centers.aspx Santhosh Sivarajan | MCTS, MCSE (W2K3/W2K/NT4), MCSA (W2K3/W2K/MSG), CCNA, Network+ Houston, TX http://blogs.sivarajan.com/ http://publications.sivarajan.com/ This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

Hi Jonny, The error code 0xc004c020 means that the MAK has exceeded the activation limit. It looks like you are using an MAK key to activate Windows Server 2008 R2. Please contact PA call center to obtain a new MAK or increase the activation limit on the existing MAK. You can find the phone numbers from the following link. http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/existing-customers/activation-centers.aspx *Notice: Regards, Karen Ji This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
