win 2003 question
hello just a quick question! i have an old hp g3 dl380 which i have been using since new i bought it with win 2003 pre installed. version win 2003 standard r2 5 clt hp. i am assuming the hp at the end means it is locked to hp and i must use the original disks if i wish to re install it. however this disks i got when i purchased the server have become damaged and are useless. is there anyway to use this serial code with another win 2003 disk as i have a full retail copy. or must i contact hp and get a replacement for the disks bundled with the unit thanks peter?

Yes, I think you'll need to contact HP support for replacement media.Regards, Dave Patrick .... Microsoft Certified Professional Microsoft MVP [Windows]

Hi, Please contact HP to verify the version of the Windows Server 2003 comes with the HP G3 DL380 computer. If it’s a retail one, you can use the retail copy you own to perform a reinstall. Or else, you should ask them to ship one disk to you. Best Regards, Vincent Hu
