Hi, This problem can be caused by parallel installation, dual OS, boot loader tool or drive C: and E: are on different hard drive. If you encounter problems on boot up, please refer to the following articles to troubleshoot it: How to troubleshoot the "NTLDR is missing" error message in Windows Server 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/816793 "Invalid Boot.ini" or "Windows could not start" error messages when you start your computer http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330184 If you can boot into system and want to edit boot.ini, you can also use this way: System Properties -> Advanced -> Startup and Recovery -> Settings -> Edit. Hope it helps. Regards, Bruce Forum Support Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help. I am not having any problems at all....but this looked "different" than all my other server setups and wanted to become aware of any concerns in this setup that could be imparted by anyone with more expertise than me thanks for you input

Hi, If boot.ini is on D: drive which is not system partition, the only impact is that we cannot format or clean all files in D: drive. Meanwhile, rebuilding boot.ini has risk. So if there is no problem, I suggest we keep the current status. Thanks for your understanding. Regards, Bruce
