HI there,
I am a beginner in MS Azure.
as per my information, web/worker roles and Vms cannot be deployed on a same cloud service!
is there a recent upgrade which contradicts the above statement?
thanks in advance.

I did find couple of related threads....and it appears that the mentioned scenario is not possible.
still, I would appreciate more info\comments :)
Hi,
You are right, Cloud Service (Web&Worker Roles) are PAAS instances, where are VMs are IAAS instances, there is a difference is architecture on how these VMs are Provisioned/Managed/Billed by the fabric.
therefore you cannot create a Web/Worker role and a IAAS VM in the same Cloud Service.
