vpn and internet stops working
Hi GuysSorry for asking this question. I have found a solution some time ago but never bookmarked the page. Stupid right?I have a 2008 STD server running as DC, DNS Server, DHCP Server and Remote Access server (VPN).When a client connects to the server via VPN and lets say disconnect again I pick up problems. The server cannot access the internet anymore and client cant connect to the server (VPN) anymore. When I restart the server everything works again until another user connects via VPN.I have disable the one nic so there is only one active NIC. Also, the DNS server still works for client computers on our network. The server is pointing to itself as the DNS server.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should not run a DC/DNS server as a remote access server. Even if it only has one NIC, the server becomes multihomed as soon as a remote client connects (and the server gets an IP address for the internal RRAS interface). If you really must run this server for your VPN connection, have a look at KB 292822.Bill
