very slow to login to server
After a reboot of the 2003 Standard server I log on to it using the administrator account. It will sit at applying personal settings for about 35 minutes before i get the desktop. The only error I see is the following:
Event Id:1218
Failed to load Terminal Server Profile Path. note the profile path must be less than 256 characters in length.
Is this my problem? I am not remotely logging in. I am trying to login directly on the server. This server does allow for Remote Desktop connections.
Thanks for your help.

Can you check if the user account is also a member of Geust group from Active directory Users and Computers. If so remove that group membership. You can make him a member to other gruops if he belongs to any.
Thanks

For the error ID 1218, this is a Microsoft article describing how to solve it.

Personally, I don't think that this is the cause of your problem because it is related to RDP connections.
Have you installed a new update?
Have you made any changes on this server?
If yes, please uninstall it and check if this solve your problem.
If no other solution had been proposed, I recommand to you to run an antivirus scan and to proceed by a repair operation for your operating system.

Do you have proper DNS configuration on this server?
Please post the IPCONIFG/ALL result from this server and your DC here.

Is your server a DNS server using 172.25.5.2 IP address?
If not, please use 172.25.5.17 as a primary DNS server (I suppose here that 172.25.5.17 is the IP address of your DNS server). You can also use 8.8.8.8 as a secondary DNS server.
You can also configure your DNS server to forward unresolved DNS requests to the 8.8.8.8 ip address.
Please try the mentioned steps and tell us if this solve your problem or not.

172.25.5.17 is the primary DNS server and 172.25.5.2 is the secondary DNS server. Both are DC and are running DNS
