unable to copy WindowsImageBackup folder with all the incremental copies

i have 1 TB USB HDD attached to windows 2008 r2 on which i was taking backup for 6 months now i want to move the WindowsImageBackup to new HDD but when i copy the folder it only copies latest backup but not all the incremental copies.

how can i copy the WindowsImageBackup folder with all the incremental copies.

Hi,

Since the backup versions are stored in shadow copies on the volume, copying the WindowsImageBackup folder to new HDD will not copy all backup versions. You can only get the latest backup and previous incremental backups will not be copied.
