the logon method you are using is not allowed on this computer

Unable to log on to the domain server locally or remotely with any domain admins account. Was working fine a few days ago.  Clients are still being authenticated against the domain so no issues there.  "the logon method you are using is not allowed on this computer."

Fresh install of Windows Server Essentials 2012 R2 on HP ML350.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Not offering much hope but remove the Ethernet cable from the server and try. Meanwhile I have asked for some additional assistance as I would not know how to fix this either. If you can't connect from either the console or via RDP it has to be a local security (or maybe a GPO for the OU) gone very bad.

Thanks Larry, I had already tried without the Ethernet cable connected with no luck.  Going to reinstall, thanks for the response.

Before you go that way, try this as suggested by other MVPs, both past and present.
