terminal s/c logon over slow/unreliable connections
hello, I have some cases when clients have problems logging on to terminal servers with smart cards (gemalto .net) over slow or unreliable connections (over VPN or even without VPN over TS Gateway). The probable reason is that the connection attempt timeouts before the s/c redirection/logon is finished/attempted etc. The problem became more serious with some upgrades to Windows 2008. I have found only a note about TS timeout changes in 2k8 servers: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winserverTS/thread/b68890bf-32ca-481f-9c26-a17a6813db5f but am not sure whether this could be the real problem. haven’t you ever heard about such an issue, please? thank you. ondrej.

Hi, What CPS is being used? The following blog mentioned the issue and the cause was narrowed down to the CSP vendor. You may contact the CSP vendor to see whether there is any update.
