temp files eating all the space
Hi guys, Windows SBS Server 2003 SP2 - I'm having a issue at the moment where something is writing very large files to the C:\Windows\Temp the files are pbd2fb4 etc 339,028kb TMP FIle I would like to delete these but cant as another process is using them? Is it safe to delete these if so how can i do it?? I was thinking I may have to go into safe mode to delete I only have 233mb left on windows partition :(

Using Process Explorer from sysinternals you can check what application / process locked that file PBD files comes from Trend Micro Antyvirus, so I would suggest restarting it, it should resolve the issueWith kind regards Krystian Zieja http://www.projectnenvision.com Follow me on twitter My Blog

I deleted the files you were right something to do with Trend I stopped all the services and was able to delete. would like to know how to identify what was writing the files there using process explorer :) thanks again for your help really appreciate it!
