sfc.exe - corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them???
After running sfc.exe /scannow on Server 2008 R2, I get the following message:
"Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log."
I cleared the log before I ran sfc, and here it is after running sfc:

I do not understand what the stuff in this log file means. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks, but there isn't anything in that post useful.

btw, this is a fresh install of 2008 R2. The reason I ran sfc is because I can no longer run Windows Update.

Windows update on server 2008 R2 has bug in certain cases
In this case only new install could resolve problem. Best regards

In-Place upgrade is not a way to find out what is wrong originally, but I went ahead a did it anyway.
In-Place Upgrade fails with this error message: "The upgrade was not successful. Your previous version of Windows is being restored. Do not restart your computer during this time."
