1. You should install the DNS role and configure it. Not clear, if it is infrastructure DNS or AD DNS. This question will fit more into network infrastructure servers forum http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverNIS/threads 2. If your question is general one, I would recommend to look into some references like Paul Albitz and Cricket Liu: DNS and BIND

Hello, i do not really understand the question. Each domain require it's DNS server, so you already should have a tleast one per domain or oine DNS server hosting all DNS zones for the 3 domains. So please describe the existing setup and also what this specific DNS server should be used for?Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

Hello, I have not understood your need. To keep your AD environment as possible as it can be, I recommend using a single domain instead of having three ones. Please detail your need so that we help you more. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights. what you can do is with this server you can install primary domain controller(first domain in the forest).then you should use other two servers for install other child domain or other domain in the same forest.with the one server you cannot install three domains.enabling hyper-v you can install other domain contrllers in this server as a virtual machines but that is not recommended.why are you need three domains, pls explain ur requirement. also you shold run dns server also in thi server.Darshana Jayathilake

Hi, You can create parallel domains, such as FirstDomain.net, SecondDomain.net and ThirdDomain.net. You can also create parent and child domains, such as Domain.net, Child1.Domain.net and Child2.Domain.net. For more information, please refer to the following Microsoft TechNet article: Installing a domain controller http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc759011(WS.10).aspx If this is not what you want, please clarify what is your goal? I want to add one more possibility :) If you want to change your authoritative name server, your proberly better of contacting your domain name provider. They should be able to guide you through how they have set it up and how it can be changed. You usually need to provide atleast 2 authoritative name servers for your domain. Heres a bit on authoritative name server: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Name_server#Authoritative_name_server If there is still something unanswered, rock on! :)
