Yes I am logged in as administrator, I am not entirley sure about updates, as I am working on a customers server, however I did ask this question and they said no, I will take a look to see if any updates have been applied, would there be any way of fixing the problem?

Hi, Since com+ system application depends on system event notification service, let's focus on the system event notification service first. To better understand the issue, please help collect the following information: Please open Registry Editor (regedit) on the server and export the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SENS Please open the folder %SystemRoot%\System32 on the server, right-click sens.dll file and let me know the size of the file. You can upload the information to the following space: https://sftasia.one.microsoft.com/choosetransfer.aspx?key=9e5fce11-6a35-462c-bb28-c4c5be21c2ea Password: 1q$-hLaBdU5pS7This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. Hi Jason I have uploaded the SENS reg file and the size of the sens.dll is 60.5KB I also have a dmp on the server which is dated close to the time the problems started Thanks

Hi, Thanks for your information. After checking the reg file, I found that the value of ServiceDll (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SENS\Parameters) is not the default and it could be the cause of the issue. Please backup the server, change the value back to %SystemRoot%\System32\sens.dll, and then restart the server to see if the issue can be resolved. Hi Jason I have upload a word doc with the key I need to change, will this change have any impact on the server, also do you why or how this may have changed Thanks

Hi, As far as I know, changing the value back to default should not have any bad impact. However, a backup is always recommended before you modify the registry entry. In addition, you need to restart the server for this change to take effect. Causes for the change may vary, but I suggest that you perform a full virus scan on the computer as the value looks strange. Hope it helps. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
