0x80072EE2 stands for ERROR_INTERNET_TIMEOUT. you can either check your internet access, or, if that doesnt work, phone activation would work as alternative

Thanks guys! can you provide me step-by-step guide to install server 2008 R2 standard edition, i also think i got something wrong during the installation. thanks again. Hi Lutsi, Here are some resources that will help you successfully install, configure, and prepare for a Windows Server 2008 R2 deployment. Installing Server 2008 R2 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd379511(WS.10).aspx Things to know about Server 2008 R2 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd379507(WS.10).aspx Browse Server 2008 R2 Roles and Technologies http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd283012(WS.10).aspx What's New - Security in Server 2008 R2 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd560640(WS.10).aspx Best Practices Analyzer http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd392255(WS.10).aspx I hope this helps you well in configuring your server with the appropriate needs of your business. Also, did you configure your DNS properly for your networking properties and verify you have web access with that server? Here's a shortcut: Hold the Windows Key and press R to receive the run dialogue. Type, "ncpa.cpl", this is the command you run to directly open your networking control panel properties to make manual configuration changes to your network adapters on your system.
