Hello Momin, Before Introdicing Windows 2008 in coexistance with Windows 2003 Server you have to upgrade your schema using adprep command. Please start reading from here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc733027(WS.10).aspx http://sharepointgeorge.com/2009/introducing-windows-2008-r2-domain-controller/ http://blogs.dirteam.com/blogs/sanderberkouwer/archive/2008/03/02/transitioning-your-active-directory-to-windows-server-2008.aspx http://www.virmansec.com/blogs/skhairuddin

Hello, the links how to install it you already got from the others. As this sounds that you don't have that much knowledge about a domain and how to administrate it, i suggest that you built a lab for yourself to learn and try out. Administrating a domain requires at least basic knowledge about AD, DNS, Group policies, DHCP, AD aware backup solutions and networking with switches and routers to built the physical structure correct. A domain is installed with some clicks but the administration is not that easy without the above mentioned knowledge.
