hi
I have a domain controller 2008 R2 in a company and I have a problem with showing my DC name in client's my network places ,and it is my file server too,so I have to map it for my clients or give them DC's IP .
I want to know that is there any solution for showing my DC's name in network ?

Please start the computer browser service and give a try. You should also try disabling the firewall on the server in case if you are not able to to see the server after you start the service

Also, you can let your client computers point to your internal DNS server as primary DNS server and enable NetBIOS over TCP / IP on them. Once done, try again.
