routing traffic through a VPN client
Hi all,
I've two sites, let's say "SITE_A" and "SITE_B":
SITE_A
this site has the following subnet: 10.0.42.0/23 in this site there is a Linux router, this linux box with two interfaces (one in the lan, the other connected to an other subnet from wich it is possible to access the internet) is capable to initiate
PPTP tunnels to an ISA server in site b. Computers in this site has the linux box as default gateway
SITE_B
this site has the following subnet: 10.50.0./23 in this site there is an ISA Server 2006
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
from the linux box I start the ppp connection and set static route to 10.50.0/23 netowork and set NAT.
from any computers of site a I can ping computers on site b, it works fine! But from no computer in site B in can ping any computer in site a, I've tried to add a static route on a computer in site b like this:
route add 10.0.42.0 mask 255.255.254.0 10.50.0.113
--> where 10.50.0.113 is the IP assigned by the ISA server to the linux box
but does not works! I've tried traceroute and find that ip packets arrive to ISA server and it can't route to 10.0.50.0.113
please help!
