request computer certificate
Hi, I have been given a CSR PKCS#10 file taken from a cisco firewall, and I want to use this to request a certificate so that the firewall will authenticate against vpn computers. I have created a security group, and added this to the computer certificate with read, enroll and autoenroll permissions (for the vpn computers which will auto enroll this certificate), issued the computer certificate at the issuing CA. Then I go onto a workstation and use the web enrollment method http://servername/certsrv website in IE to bring up the enrollment page. I choose "Submit a certificate request by using a base-64 encoded CMC or PKCS#10 file..." When I access this page, I only see a user certificate template and not any computer certificates. I have seen examples on forums etc where this method is used (some show selecting ipsec or computer certificate in the templates field), so I can't understand why I can't see the computer certs? If the web enrollment method is not the correct way to go for computer templates, is there some other way I issue a certificate from the CSR file? Thanks for your help.Jaz
