Hello,to restart the DC remotely you have to logon to it or you have to use shutdown.exe and provide the correct credentials to do it that way. Which exact error message is shown when using remote desktop to connect to it?Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

Hello, Thank you for your post here. Since RPC is not available, you will get error 53 (The network path was not found) when you attempt to logon to the server and attempt to shutdown the server via command. You may focus on how to troubleshoot the issue that RPC is not available. If you need to remotely restart the server, you may need to count on some 3rd party management tool. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let us know.

Hello,if you aren't able to connect to the server properly you can't do it remote. Do it from the console and make sure the event viewer is error free.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
