I see you have the UR6 installed and the only known issue with the console, fixed in UR7 is:
"The Service Manager console crashes when you try to open an email message that has a colon (:) in its name and that was attached to an incident through Exchange Connector (for example, prefixes RE: and FW: that are added by Outlook)."
Can you please check, if this applies in your case also.
Check the Events under "Application and Services Logs" -> "Operations Manager". What event is logged at the time of the crash, check its detail information, post it here if there is something, which can help to identfy the cause.

I've used it on couple of occaisons and it helped me.

From what I've seen this intermittent console crashes are related to some form of customization, which is done. So review those also, it could lead you to the cause.
