regarding defining of permissions by user but not by administrator
hello, we have installed windows server2003 sp1 standard edition in our office. The issue we have been facing is Defining of permissions by the user but not by administrator i.e., when a user creates a folder (in his domain) as a owner of the folder/file he only should define the permissions to other users. How is this possible....??? Can any one help regarding this issue. This from user point of view not from the point of administrator. I request you to suggest and sort out this issue as soon as possible...

Hello, check the advanced permissions on the folder and control if the user is allowed to change them. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753731.aspx http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308419 Btw: SP2 and lot's of updates are available for Windows server 2003 and should be installed.
