RDS2012 R2 . RemoteApp used. SSO functions well.

Thinking about transition to RDWEB. It works fine.

Is it possible to eliminate password entry on first Browser Page and use the credentials of logged in Windows user for bringing available for user RDWEB apps just after clicking IE shortcut that points to RDWEB.

Access to apps works fine. Want just to make RDWEB access completely passwordless....

Not as far as I know.

Although, you may use Credential Manager on Windows 8.1 clients to store web credentials, but I wouldnt recommend it since password would be stored locally and might be vulnerable to attack.

I think that something could be done on RDWebsite level for comparing logged in user credentials against web site.

I will try to check some more stuff...

Actually yes, it is possible to log on to RDWeb using the logged-on user credentials. You just have to configure RDWeb to use Windows Authentication instead of Forms-based authentication. Be aware however that there is a catch: by default if you do this, your users will be prompted for creds when they make the actual RDP connections to the published apps and desktops. This is because the default out-of-the-box version of SSO re-uses the credentials typed into the RDWeb login form - which you are now bypassing.

The good news is there is a way to get full SSO working with RDWeb in Windows auth mode. See the following blog post: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/rds/archive/2012/06/25/remote-desktop-web-access-single-sign-on-now-easier-to-enable-in-windows-server-2012.aspx. Note that you'll need to follow the instructions under the heading "To set up single sign-on when connecting by using the RemoteApp and Desktop Connections feed subscription".
