raising functional level windows 2008R2
i have question regarding raising my domain and forest functional level to windows 2008R2 my environment. 1- 2 DC windows 2008R2 with functional level windows 2003 2- Exchange 2007 sp3 ccr 3-there is trust releationship two ways with other domain that run windows 2003 R2 with functional level 2003 4-Sharepoint 2007 5-cisco vpn integrated with AD 6-oracle application integrated with AD. any impact if i upgrade my windows 2008 dc to functional level windows 2008r2 with trust relation with other domain windows 2003R2

Hi, No there shouldn't be any issues with the trust relationship. No, I don't think the trust functionality will be affected in anyway after you raise FFL/DFL to 2008 R2. Infact you will be able to leverage a lot of features within your domain/forest like DFS replication for SYSVOL, Fine grained password policy and AD recycle bin etc. Also note that this is a non-reversible step and you wont be able to add Windows 2003 DC's to your domain/forest. Though I will suggest you try this in a test environment if possible before you perform this step. Also verify the trust functionality after you raise the functional level from domains & trusts snap-in. you mean that if i raise to windows 2008rs functional level the other trust relationship with windows 2003 dc (functional level 2003) will not have any problem any communication coz my groups btw these trust relationship.
