what's wrong with perf mon? you can monitor real time or save to a log for later analysis. oh well, just a suggestion.

let me put it this way, guess what microsoft system center operations manager (SCOM) uses for monitoring performance? yes, it's reliable. I'm sure you will get some more replys to the post with other suggestions if you don't want to use perf mon.
