ntp multiple time sources
If I synchronize the time in my PDC with 3 external time sources, what kind of algorithm or calculation does the PDC do to calculate its time ?? Thanks

Hello, it will not sync with all configured time sources, it will choose the first one and if this is available this is used. It will not use all of them and then calculate a "middle" of that.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

Hello, the PDC can not use multiple NTP servers at the same time to sync time. The first one will be chosen for sync. If it not available then the other ones will be used. So, the PDC will use an only time server to sync time and not multiple ones. If it is unavailable, it will try other ones. There is no algorithm or calculation that can be used in such scenarios.
