Hello,

have you migrated from FRS to DFS-R? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2567421?wa=wsignin1.0

You might also check with http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc794759(WS.10).aspx for the correct settings.

Hello Everyone,

Im troubleshooting some AD replication issues, and I found an inconsistency Im trying to correct.

There are 2 DCs GVANET1 and GVANET3

When I lok in ADSIEDIT at OU=Domain Controllers--->CN=GVANET1--->CN=DFSR-LocalSettings--->CN=Domain System Volume--->CN=SYSVOL Subscription Properties - There is an Attribute called msDFSR-ReplicationGroupGuid with a Value that looks like \88\12\11\F3\25\7D\45\45\8B\A0\B4\91\15\B8\F8\A6 and it says its syntax is Octet String.

On the other DC - CN=GVANET3--->CN=DFSR-LocalSettings--->There is nothing here..

So Im trying to create that setting - right click, new-->Object-->msDFDR-Subscriber--> Next---> I type in Domain System Volume --> Next --> and Im asked to input the value of the Replication Group Guid. No matter what I put in there it does not take it, rejects it saying one or more value are not in the correct format. Ive tried these formats:

Octal
210 022 021 363 045 175 105 105 213 240 264 221 025 270 370 246

Decimal
136 018 017 243 037 125 069 069 139 160 180 145 021 184 248 166

Hex
88 12 11 F3 25 7D 45 45 8B A0 B4 91 15 B8 F8 A6

\88\12\11\F3\25\7D\45\45\8B\A0\B4\91\15\B8\F8\A6 (like the other DC looks)

Binary
10001000 00010010 00010001 11110011 00100101 01111101 01000101 01000101 10001011 10100000 10110100 10010001 00010101 10111000 11111000 10100110

Does anyone know how I can create that attribute/value?

Hi,

Looking at the screen in DFSR-Global settings in Topology there is no folder exists for SHAURYA. Does this really exists in environment. Also are you trying to run the WMIC command to check the state of replication?
