Can you confirm, do you have problem with RDPing to remote desktop or no sound issue from iPad?
Because the title and description is 2 different things. If you are getting issue with remote connection, please confirm getting remote session with IP address\Hostname either and verify the result. For more information you can refer this article.

Do you mean that there is no sound when remote to computer from iPad (using Remote Desktop Client app)? And it will work (have sound) when remote with iPod?

From my test I can hear sound when remote to a laptop (Windows 8.1) from iPad (RDC 8.1.6). If it is not the same version of app, please try to update to 8.1.6.

Also make sure you have chosen "play sound on device" in app settings.
