no prompt for password !?
Hi I also posted this in http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/servervirtualization/threads but not much going on there and perhaps it belongs more here anyway. Well problem I got is in my Hyper-v setup, where gustVM can browse hostsVM c$, \\host-ip\c$ I have a internal network where hostVM and guestVM is on same subnet. Still i would like to limit access to host, so guestVM only can browse what I choose to share Host and guest is NOT in same workgroup, they got same username/password though. Why can guestVM do this on hostVM without me entering username/password?

Because you have the same username/password in both machines. Windows simply try to login using your current credentials regardless domain/workgroup membership /Hasain

So anyway to avoid this and only be able to see actualy shared folder and no administrative shares?

Do not use the same user/pass combination on the two machines and you will get prompted for an authentication. But please notice that will always be able to access the admin shares if you enter the correct admin user and password for that system. /Hasain
