no access to internet
I want that the clients only can connect to the server and not to the internet. Is that possible?

Hello,Yes this is possible. Use your router to block internet on the server. You can block using the MAC address.Isaac Oben MCITP:EA, MCSE

You can also setup a proxy using GPO settings on the local server. just set the proxy for IE to 0.0.0.0. Group Policty -> User Configuration -> Windows Settings ->Internet Explorer Maintenance -> Connection -> Proxy SettingsAlso you can remove the access rights to the IE so only admins can access the Exe. This completely disables users from using IE or firefox.

In addition to others You can also use ISA (Internet Security and Acceleration server) to block the internet traffic comming from your LAN.Note: Without knowing the fact about your infrastructure its bit tough to give you a solution but still I advice you to go with ISA server as it has lot of features which a normal router cannot offer Like Caching and Content Filtering.http://www.microsoft.com/forefront/edgesecurity/isaserver/en/us/default.aspxThanks Syed
